If I read a headline that begins with some variation on, “Sam Kennedy Says …” before reading another word, I have already rolled my eyes so far back in my head that I can see last Tuesday. Ever since JH and SK tried to sell the idea that the Mookie deal was not a salary dump but a baseball trade, I have assumed anything they say is either a lie, a deflection, or gaslighting, or all three. Not much has happened since to dissuade me.
I think that is all valid. I just hate that they talk about Red Sox fans being intelligent fans and then they say the things that they do. Like, if we are intelligent, you don’t think we will see right through what you are saying?
