Random note to add that Trevor Story now has a higher OPS than Mookie Betts for the season.

I will hope they get Joe Ryan and another. I would add a ferocious intimidating, talented closing pitcher.

Would probably need to trade Chapman

Please please PLEASE trade for him. Joelyan Ryan OWNS the Royals, and I need him out of our division!

There always seems to be that guy that just dominates a team.

What would it take to get Seth Lugo?

Or, go crazy and target Jacob deGrom?

Lugo would be a good get for the Sox. He would be a rental so I can't imagine it would be a top 5 prospect in the system. But other teams will want Lugo.

I don’t think the rangers sell on deGrom but I wouldn’t hate that one bit!

Lugo is a rental so if the price is right it’s fine but I wouldn’t shell out the farm for him

"But I think Duran or Abreu and a prospect or two could get a deal done."

Those would have to be exceptionally heavy duty prospects. On the trade machine, names like Arias+Harrison would have to be added to Duran. Arias is the team's number one prospect now that the big 3 have graduated. Again, that would be a big price to pay.

And it is unclear to me why the Twins take on Duran, under contract for 3.5 more years, in exchange for Ryan, under contract for 2.5 years. If they think they will be competitive 2026-2028, wouldn't they want Ryan on the team?

Other than Buxton, the Twins do not have a lot of dynamic offensive players. I do agree that it would probably take a significant prospect along with Duran to get a deal done.
